Micro pigs

Every so often an idea enters my head which I think is just way too cool.  Enter November 2009: enter MICRO PIGS!!!

These are a special breed of pig which are able to fit in a teacup when they're born, and grow to the size of a medium-small sized dog.  They are apparently really smart and really easy to train, and really friendly and fun to be around, and I want one!  Check out a pic and video below, and you'll agree: SO COOL!!!!

So busy!

I have been so busy at work lately, so busy in fact that I feel like I haven't accomplished anything!  I've also barely been home this week and tonight was no exception as I played on a drum & bass radio show and guest-hosted my buddy's podcast!

On my way home I ran into my buddies, one of whom was so drunk he couldn't make full sentences and he was falling over, but it was hilarious because he was a teetotaller until like three hours ago!

Him trying to explain why grapeseed oil is the best personal lubricant was a highlight of my life, so was the made-up words and assuming anyone of colour understood Ethiopian or Arabic.  Flo you kill me bud!

Awesome weekend!

I'll start this off by saying that I'm less than pleased with Porter.  Sure, I get that they're a discount airline and that they have kind of a laidback attitude, but I find their customer service and reliability to be lacking in quality and trustworthiness, respectively.  I won't get into it, but I'm annoyed.

I got into Ottawa on Saturday morning at 10 AM and was met at the airport by a hungover L!  She is great to crawl out of bed feeling 0% good and come pick me up.  I was half-expecting to see Peter Gabriel (her car) parked halfway up a parking column!  I surprised her this weekend by really pulling out the stops and celebrating my amazing quarter at work.

We went to the hockey game on Saturday night and my plan of avoiding traffic by leaving with 90 seconds left in the third HORRIBLY BACKFIRED!  By the time we got to the 417, Ottawa, who was up 3-1 in the dying minutes of the 3rd, had lost in a shootout to Boston by a score of 4-3.  HORRIBLE!  NO SENS NO!!

We spent the entire weekend together with no distractions which was really nice because it had been a while since we did that.  We slept at the Marriott on Kent St. on Saturday night as a special treat and had a great breakfast at the "Scone Witch" which was quite nice.  Then it was off to the mall to buy me clothes (THANKS HP!!!) and finally we caught Zombieland.  If you haven't seen this and have the stomach for lots of silly gore, please do yourself a favour and go!!  Woody Harrelson is AWESOME in it.  The part with BM ... classic!
